Bio; Dominic's parents were aristocrats, and Dominic led a happy, if not uneventful, childhood. He served in the military for a time, but he was wounded in battle, and deemed physically unfit to be an officer. Eventually the wound healed, but Dominic had no compulsion to re-enlist. Shortly after being excused from duty, he took up public affairs and became a noble.
