  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That sounds like an ambitious project:)! Do you have definite plans? How big will it be?

The coolest doll house I ever saw was one that my little freind had when I was young. Insead of being open in the back it had big doors on the front. And it was huge!

It is a kit you have to start from foundation and work up putting everything together one piece at a time.My grandma has built 2 she put real detail in it, it looks real you wished that you can shrink and move into it. :D When I get the pic's developed I will post them. I am taking pic's because my grandma wants to see it as I go and she live in Ohio.
I am going to put real detail into it, it is going to have electric in it. I just can't wait to get that point. But I probably have another week to go or more. But I will get there. :prayer: ;)

cool!!
My aunt built me one-- 2 story Victorian house (I still have it) when I was 9 years old.
I like to change it out though. I find things on sale and add to or do seasonal changes to it (decorate for holidays)
If you have a Hobby Lobby in your area or Michaels
they are good for putting stuff on sale different times of the year at 1/2 price.

My Grandma has gave me alot of furniture and stuff and she called and asked me what kind of bathroom I wanted I told her the old fashion ones and she said she was going to get me a kitchen too. But it is a Bellingham Farm house and I wanted to do it from the 30 & 40's thanks. :)

That sounds so wonderful. I have three little girls. I wonder if I could possibly find time to do that kind of thing. I will look forward to seeing some pictures of your house on this site. Speaking of miniatures I saw a piece in a local newspaper recently where they had a miniature club that did exhibits. The pictures were really awesome. Some took baskets or straw hats and made little houses with themes like the three little pigs and little mice. They had different rooms and had the baskets/hats set up like little doll houses. Just another idea if someone can purchase or make miniatures. God bless.:prayer:

Missy7303 that good to hear how you are coming along on your house.
My dollhouse is mainly country blue with country pink trim on the outside. It is now 7 years old and I need to paint the outside again but I dread it because of the trim. You can tell the blue is fading. I wish my aunt put 2 coats of paint on when she built the house for me.
