  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What did you name your dog and why? Some names are very funny and others are sentimental...

My wife and I got out puppy from a shelter in Florida so she could have some company. We named her BELLE (that's French for pretty or beautiful).

What's your dog's name?

What's your dog's name?

Growing up, my family had a little Maltese dog. Her name was Sugar. She was small, white and sweet, so the name fit well.

Other names we were considering were Snookums and Snowball.

No pics...but my dad's basset hound is Esther after Queen Esther in the bible...her papers came back as Queen Esther III, so there are 2 other registered bassets with that name! Growing up we had a Siberien Husky named Nome since she came from Nome, Alaska. We also had a Rat Terrier named Artie or R.T. for Rat Terrier. At some point I plan on having an Old English Mastiff and his name will be Leviathon due to his size, Levi for short.

I had three other dogs growing up - Michael, Nicodemus and Haley (who was actually purebred and so was the Duchess Haley of Mont Claire). All three of them were cocker spaniels and that is a breed I really enjoy.

Not too much response here - where are the dog lovers??

My dog (see avatar) is named Mercy.

I like the way it sounds...especially when she gets in trouble and I have to yell, "Oh Mercy!" lol And at the time when I got her, God was ministering to me about His mercy. So it's kind of a reminder of that.

My boyfriend's puppy (who currently is hanging out at my house) is named Butter. I think it's short for ButterBall because she's a fat little somethin'! But I call her Nutter Butter a lot. She's definately gotta be named after a food product though!

We have 2 dogs an on cat.
4 y/o Wyatt (shep & cattle dog mix) Protecting wise, he reminded us of Wyatt Earp
3 1/2 y/o Kuzco (Cocker & terrier mix) He has the attitude of the Kuzco in the movie "Emperors new Groove"
1 1/2 y/o Leo (dom. cat) tuff cat but yet he acts like he is part of the dog pack. The dogs groom him daily.

I have a dog named Tammy, she was 9 years old when I got her, so I didn't give her that name, but I like her name, that's just who she is. :)

She's a Border Collie and Norwegian Elkhound mix. She's got the brain of BC and loves to learn new tricks!

I would show you a pic, but I don't have enough posts yet.
