anyone have an unusual dog name? Well, post your dog's name here, even if it's not unusual! My dog's name is Comma.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have two dogs. The Border Collie mix is named Hobbes. The Dandie Dinmont Terrier is named Monty. We have a cat named Calvin, and yes, Calvin and Hobbes do team up together! It is so cute. All of our pets are named after cartoon characters. They are characters.

I have 2 belgian shepherds...Kora and Cai.
Kora - aboriginal for companion, and she has been the most amazing companion I could have hoped to have for the last 8 1/2 years! She's my angel!
and Cai - after one of Arthur's knights of the round table...in legend Sir Cai had a dodgy leg from falling off a horse, but he was loyal and basically family to Arthur...Cai, the dog, has a limp because his leg got caught up in an electric fence before we got him, and although incredibly nervous around strangers, he is intensely loyal to me, and is one of the family! Before we got him, his name was Growler...he didn't respond when we called him that, but as soon as we said 'Cai', his ears went up and his expression was like "What?! Are you talking to me! *insert tail wagging here*"
My sister's Staffies are called Neville and Maggie... my brother-in-law insists that all members of the family must have human names!

I have an Alaskan Malamute named "Prairie". I haven't heard of any other dog named that so I guess it's unusual.

I lost my beloved dog last year at 15 years old - her name was Goober (yes, her) . She answered to Goober, Goobie, Goob, Goober-butt, Goober-Snoocher, and Snoochface (hence my handle). She was my sweetheart.
Our current dog is Boogie. Her "official" name, given by my husband, is (ugh) Booger, because he switched the G and B in goober when he named her - but we only call her Boogie!
We had a puppy for a very short period of time last year that we named Waggles because she was a stumpy and when she wagged her tail, her whole butt wagged

My dogs name is Rainbow, her littermates were Lilac, Red, Blue, and Noki.
all named after the collars they had to identify them after being born. Noki stood for no collar.

My male Golden Retriever's name is: Einstein Freiheit (German for "Rock of Freedom" in a rough translation...because we got him over the 4th of July weekend).

I only have one dog (for now) and his name is Tison (because he is a boxer/pit mix, get it?) Anyway, he's a sweetheart, all 92 lbs. of his brindle self. If I ever get ahold of some land tho . . .I will be an animal rescue for sure!!! Pray that it will happen. I love animals and want a regular Noah's ark on a big stretch of land somewhere with 4 seasons! And lots of company for Ti-ti (that's one of Tison's many nicknames).
