  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does this verse apply to genetics?

Mark 14:7 "For you always have the poor with you..."

Simple question, does the above verse apply to genetics?

If not could some of the Creationists round here step in and try to dissuade this poster from abusing scripture? This guy is an embarrassment to the Gospel.

I think such posters work for the Good, while I have to wince when reading the post, the honest creationist has to reflect: "God, am I like this?"

I'll resort to Paul on this:
"..they will not make further progress, for their foolishness will be plain to all( 2 Tim 3)."

and I'll add: ...plain to all, even them."

"The black sheep will always increase the sheepness of his offspring by maintaining ties with sheep more sheep than he is (Gottservant). "

Is it possible that the OP was referring to the level of genetic quality in people, not their net worth?
There are less intelligent people on earth; they are not necessarily the financially poor, just genetically poor.
I don't believe that the scripture mentioned refers to genetically poor, but to those who make bad life choices, and to those who are born into poverty. It may be possible for some born into poverty to rise above their situation and improve their worth; geneticaly poor cannot improve their genetic quality.
Hope that makes some sense.
