That Hammurabi existed as a real person is much better substantiated than the existence of Moses. I don't think that Hammurabi has tales told about him that are belied by reality.

I do not think you would be able to test the Bible without first taking a class in Covenant Theology. That is usually a college subject and often people do not even have a grade school understanding of the Bible.How would you test your Bible?
