  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Science can't disagree with the Bible, although scientists can. Science is just a way of finding out about the physical universe. Science can disagree with some people's modern revisions of the Bible, but of course, that's a different thing entirely.

God ordained science to enrich our lives.

1. Based on anatomical data, Huxley wrote that there must have been transitionals between dinosaurs and birds. We have since found many of them.

2. A small amount of heme found in the bones of a T-rex fossil, turned out to be most similar to that of birds, and not so similar to that of living reptiles, again confirming the prediction.

Fine with me, but not because of any reason Hux imagined. Rapid evolving in the former nature allowed Eden's creatures to move on out over the earth. If a bird evolved into a little dino and later bigger...whoopee do!

Abortions have been with us for quite a while. They were not as safe as today, but they used to be done by a Hebrew priest, if the wife had been supposedly cheating on the husband.

Well, His evidence was left all over the place in the stones and the bones and the stars. I think it wise to read the evidence carefully and to regard the bible as speaking only to the spiritual aspect of our lives.
