How... what... how are these even related? If anything these are indicators of what you already earn... As someone who has a Hyundai i20 and recently got a brand new Camry and changed from a Nexus 5 to Nexus 6, I can't say I've been offered a raise because of this...

Do you have any reason you ask? Because this question makes absolutely zero sense without further information...

I think that the questions should be:

1 - Can your employer communicate with you consistently and easily?
2 - Do you show up for work when you're supposed to?

I'm struggling to find some correlation between cell phone type and a job. Ditto for cars. As 357magnum said, the important thing is that your boss can get hold of you and that you have reliable transportation. Now I think it makes a difference that you dress and act professionally on the job, but in 9 times out of 10, people aren't going to know what type of phone you have or what you drive.

True story: I worked at a huge computer firm back in the day. We're talking billions of dollars/year. The CEO was a humble man. He drove a Ford Pinto.

I drive a commercial van to and from work. My immediate boss and department head know this. Nobody cares.

Oh, and my superiors have no idea which phone I have, because if I get caught with it out during business hours when I should be working, I'm getting written up. And no, I'm not in retail.

And I will never understand the allure of anything made by Apple.
