Does anyone know of any games that are horror survival like Silent Hill? I've played the Silent Hill games until I'm about tired of them and I'd like to try something new, but I'm not sure which games are survival horror.

Can anyone enlighten me about this? Any games you know of that I can rent or buy that I would be happy with?

depends what console you use,i take it its the PS2?,if so the nearest thing to the SH series is the resident evil franchise,more or less the same concept,ie scary atmosphere,zombies to kill,etc etc

try gamespot as a good input site

Silent Hill esq games are kinda rare, people usually like to FIGHT monsters, not run away from them

Try the latest Resident Evil game they had. I believe it was RE4, I have to check. The difference with it is the fact that it doesn't have zombies and takes place in a Spanish setting.

The game itself was regarded to be one of the greatest games ever made being that its playability and style far exceeds that of other games. I'm pretty sure you will enjoy that =)

Look for RE5 some time as well. It looks pretty amazing and there should be an interesting story line since its set in africa (at least thats what the trailers show). It just been delayed for a while, until 2009 i believe.


And dont get the new RE for wii because its not very good IMO.

I don't have any experience with those, but my bro likes Resident Wiivil.

im probably bias against shooters on rails but its really not fun at all, and the graphics dont help.

That might be it, since it's different from other RE games, I take it. I personally like rail shooters such as Area 51 and House of the Dead.

Fair warning on Jericho, the basis of the game is you're going up against a mistake God made sometime around the Creation of the world, and since even God couldn't destroy it, he locked it up. Now you have to find some way to defeat it. Or something along those lines.

Firsly how can you get sick oh SH? LOL they are the best games No 2 is my favourite im currently doing No 4 but its kinda hard and scary LOL , hmmm how about Alone In The Dark thats a rather scary game. cant think of any others at the moment. =)

I also recommend Trapt for the ps2 you play a girl who is able to set traps and watch people walk into them. A bit gory but very satisfying.

Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve 2 you should love if your a fan of Silent Hill.
