CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

no because you can't hold them much,their not to be cuddled or held.I don't see the reason for a pet if you cant hold them.

I took care of one for the summer, it was a class pet when I was in 5th grade. They are nocturnal so it made a lot of noise at night in the cage sometimes. You can hold them, the one that I had was friendly and would lay with you, she also wouldn't put her quills up, she would curl into a ball but you could just roll her into you hand and it didn't hurt and then she would come out and walk around on you. We fed her catfood. Ever since then I have wanted one as a pet also, mabye when I'm done with school.
I don't really know a whole lot about them, just look up some information on the internet, there should be a lot there.

I'm more concerned with domesticating yet another wild animal when man can't care for the ones already forced to live with us. There are rescues for hedgehogs, now. That's just sad.

Hedgehogs have always struck me as an odd thing to have as a pet. I suppose that's because they live wild here and, before I joined CF, I'd never heard of anyone keeping them as a pet.
