What do you mean gender roles will be affected? How did you come to the conclusion that males would pick males and females would pick females? When same sex couples adopt this isn't always the case. And explain what you mean by the roles of men and women? Why should men and women be placed in specific roles? People shouldn't be placed in "roles" because people are more are more complex than that. Children who grew up in with same sex parents turn out to be very well adjusted.

You know what, I'm just going to conclude that you don't know what you're talking about.

Just how are you defining morality here? Do you know why gays and lesbians are much more likely for mental health problems? Is has a lot to do with how gays and lesbians are treated. When you place social stigma on people, mental health problems are the consequence.

Oh here we go, the old "quit attacking me and family with your homosexuality" argument. You seem have this view that only only heterosexuals are entitled to have families and get married. Why do you anti-gay folks have this sense of entitlement of having children and getting married?

Really? You come here basically bashing LGBT people and you feel like you're being attacked? Now you're getting upset when people call you out on it?

And i have come across many of YOUR propaganda pushing agendas down MY throat. I'm sick of being told that i'm evil, sick, and degenerate just because i fell in love with someone.

I'm not trying to do anything to your marriage, parenting, or family values, all i want is for you to leave mine alone.

What right have you to say that homosexuals can't adopt? Newsflash - there are hundreds of thousands of kids in the USA alone who require loving families. Why deny them that?

If you think it's wrong to be gay, then don't be. The fact that i am is not going to affect your immortality one bit.

So someone shows you a whole page of studies that prove what you said is wrong, and your only response is basically "If it's not from God, it's not worth reading"?
Now who's spreading propaganda.

Let's just dispel some myths, shall we?

1. Being gay is not the same thing as someone being a drug addict or alcoholic.

2. San Francisco is not the "gay capital" of the world. I've got news for folks - they're everywhere. It's just that some regions foster a more tolerant environment which means gays and lesbians can be out of the closet without fear.

3. Gay and lesbian parents are not going to expect their children to conform and be gay or lesbian themselves, as they know it's the way you are born. And if this were the case, why is it that almost every homosexual in America was born to completely heterosexual parents?

4. If Christianity gives a person a guilt-free conscience, why are they so fixated with the "sins" of total strangers? Usually a preoccupation with that which has been deemed unacceptable or immoral is a sign of masking guilt and shame.

Just to clarify something:

I do take immorality lying down. And standing up. And sitting on the futon. And in several other positions. However, lying down is by far the easiest, though not the most interesting. Though interesting immoralities can be taken lying down. It's really a matter of preference and inclination.

Also: I can roll my Rs, I play guitar (and bass! the first two fingers of my right hand do amazing things), I have an actor's tongue, and a good director's expectation of obedience combined with a willingness to hear suggestions. I've heard I tend to get people to give their best performances.

On the OP: So much on this forum makes me sad, but some of the recovery section in particular.

Translation: "I have no rebuttal for all those facts you just presented, so instead I'll launch an unfounded ad-hominem attack on your morality."

In response to the OP: I've never looked in on that section of the forums, mostly because I know I wouldn't be allowed to post anything helpful there. I do find it deeply saddening that people are taught to feel hatred and shame for such a basic and fundamental and healthy part of themselves. I find it distressing that love can be viewed as such a negative, repulsive thing.

You hit the nail squarely on the head there. Darn facts getting in the way of discrimination and prejudice

I know. I’ve tried to post in that forum several times. Usually trying to post facts when false claims about the APA or conversion therapy are made. But it seems no one there wants fact or truth
