I admit I watch the program on occasion. It can be kind of gory but it is pretty good acting in it and the special effects are pretty decent. Do you watch it?

I watched the first three seasons. After that I just became sick of the show.
Compared to more intelligent and better acted programs like Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead feels second rate.
Is it gory? I'd say so, but you get desensitized to it pretty quickly. I'll probably catch up to the recent episodes some day, but not now, lol.

Yes, just finished watching the latest one. I don't know anything about the comic but apparently it is mostly based on it. The show/comic? up to this point has done a good job at creating new situations for them to face.

I don't watch the walking dead much, but they are all around me. Jesus said "let the dead bury their dead". I try to tell them how they can have life, eternal life, as Jesus promises but they are dead in their sin and hard of hearing. If I watch them, I feel sorry for them knowing they don't care that they are the walking dead.

I love the show. Admittedly I haven't watched anything since season three, but it's just because I've been very busy.
It's definitely in my top five shows of the past few years, as are Breaking Bad and House of Cards.

Last nights episode was really good, back to the blood and gore along with genuine drama that is interesting. Cannot wait for next week and the fallout after what happened.

(SPOILERS DO NOT READ FOR SPOILERS)
No big loss in my opinion, although the way he went was brutal. I'm glad that they didn't dedicate the whole episode to him, like with Tyreese. In the first couple of seasons main characters would die at random and it wasn't a 'huge deal'. I feel now that not even secondary characters die enough. By the way, it was only the second episode this season were I was scared/on the edge of my seat. It was fantastic!

Even my little sister (who likes the show) admits that most of the men are portrayed as jerks and it's rife full of man hatred.
The show sounds kind of interesting, but misandry would be a major turn off. Especially when it seems like every single thing in pop-culture right now is being heavily critiqued for perceived (and sometimes real) misogyny.
I like the show Roseanne and it kind of had a misandry feel at times, but it was human and the show was self aware of that. Not necessarily promoting it.
