How many of these sites you gave the coptics or Armenians called the eo "heretics"?
I say EO should start their own forum. Since we don't have a problem with them, they have problem with us. The reason this forum is for EO and OO is because OO accept EO as our brothers.

I am not getting this at all. I voted Keep it the way it is.....would someone care to tell me when I had any problems with the Copts?? I never have....I have never had any problems here...Maybe those who have had such problems should start their own forum.... I think this is the epitome of hair splitting and my time is better spent in friendship....I will leave all the doctrinal debate between the EO and the OO, to those most qualified: THE PATRIARCHS....

I agree with Suzannah and Jeff. I think we can maintain civility with things the way they are. I would certainly hope so anyway.

Are you folks aware that the ORTHODOX FATHERS and their councils are the ones who decided the issue for the Orthodox centuries ago?

Are you aware that many of the elders of the Greek Gerontikon would not even speak to Non-Chalcedonians until they agreed to accept the Orthodox faith, including the Seven Councils?

There is a great deal of "feel-goodism" going on here.

You are allowing your desire to get along with everyone all the time to cloud your judgment.

If you all want to turn this board into a sort of chummy, liberal Orthodox version of Anglicanism, let me know.

I'll find someplace else to go.

Maybe so. Maximus, I have a great deal of respect for you. I have always read your posts with a great deal of interest and care. Probably unknown to you, you have helped me with many questions I've had over this past year since I've joined CF.

I guess my concern has been that there is only two or three OO members that I can think of off the top of my head. Even if they do get their own forum, I have a feeling that they will spend most or all of their time here with us anyway...at least until their member numbers increase, which may or may not ever happen.

To moderators and members of TAW:

Upon some reflection and my own past experience in an Orthodox organization:

A forum or subform for the Oriental Orthodox will not work. It's been tried elsewhere and it has failed miserably. I won't go into details and please don't try to speculate. Let's just say that the persecutions by Islamic countries have muddied the waters and created some serious communication problems which only Christ can heal. It's better for the Bishops to handle this.

Let us pray for each other, that we may all be saved.
