Do you want to be filled with the spirit?

If you are 100% committed to Christ the holy spirit will most definately be evident in your life! It's promised and it will happen don't worry about that. You may not speak in tongues, you may not prophesy, you may not do mind boggling miracles but you will have a crazy ride with things out of the ordinary coming your way often.

The problem is that when we are too full of self and too full of the world then there is no room left for the spirit.

Read your bible for at least an hour every day 1Pe 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: ... knowledge brings faith, spending time with God aligns us with his will. Forget other books, God will show you the truth from his book.

Pray constantly!! Pray to be emptied of self and the world! Your life will be conformed to the way Christ wants us to live, this will be painful but very fruitful John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit....5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Obey God.. to love God is to obey him Jhn 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love

Seek God with all your heart
Deu 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find [him], if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find [me], when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Jam 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded

You will be filled with power, who knows how your experience will be we don't control God, maybe at times you will feel the presence of God, maybe you will for no reason have a strong urge to Praise the almighty King of Kings, maybe you'll have powerful answers to prayer, maybe you'll witness to people at random times in powerful ways.... whatever happens you will lie awake at night and think my life is awsome thanks to my God and the spirit that fills me.

Is status Quo what you are seeking... do you want to just warm pews, do you want to have knowledge but no power.

Submit yourself totaly to Christ!

I work with a lady at work who qualified for the olympic trials for swimming... she does 9 2 hour training sessions every week + 3 gym sessions, and this is just for a chance to go to the olympics!!

How much more have we got on the line, how great is the prize that Christ gives us!

1 Cor 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Give more of yourself to God than you do to the world and you will be filled for sure.
