  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My cat was on one of my pillows.
I reached up pulled him closer to me and turned him over and started rubbing his belly.
My cat TRUSTS me - his claws never came out.

Do you trust? Who do you trust?

I am a very skeptical person so tend to try to figure out ulterior motives in people.
BUT with my true friends I TRUST them totally and would tell them anything.

I have been going thru a "situation".
Some folks suggested I needed a lawyer before filing paperwork.
I trusted on the greatest COUNSELOR to be my guide.

How much do you really TRUST God and His will?
What if he has no plan for you to marry?
What if he wants you to go to a foreign mission field?
What if he wants you to go back to college/university in your 30s, 40s, 50s?
What if you become disabled and no longer recognize the existence you had?

I trust the Lord's plan but I wish he'd reveal to me a starting point. Instead of just leaving me to make big decisions on my own

That's a very good question and it's kind of funny because just recently I've come to the conclusion that I trust God completely, but it's myself that I don't trust. I don't trust me to hear Him when He speaks to me, I don't trust me to recognize an open door and to not pry open a closed door. I don't trust me to be able to decipher between His Will for my life and just my fleshly feelings getting in the way.

lol, i know exactly how u feel. i trust my best friend, Stephen, i trust my youth pastors, i trust most of my friends from church. it's kinda sad, but now that i think about it, the only people i trust totally go to my church, and everyone who doesn't i trust only partially or not at all.

I believe i trust God and His will completely, partly thanks to Romans 8:28-"and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him,"

if He has no plan for me to marry, that would suck, but i trust that it's only for my good(maybe a wife would get in the way of His work?).

He's actually already asked me to go to a foreign missions field, i leave for San Jose, Costa Rica this summer. i'm terrified, but i can't wait to see what He will do through me.

college later in life would suck too, but i love learning, so i don't think i'd mind. again, i trust it's for my own good.

i think i would probably get very angry at God for a while if i became disabled, but when i calmed down i expect i would realize that He probably wants me to be more and do less.

hope that helps. God bless.

God wants us to conform to Him and His image. As well as to lean on Him for what we should do with our lives. And that His ways are always the best ways. As He's a God who never, ever changes. If He wants me to stay single or go out in the mission fields or whatever, then that is up to the Almighty and not my decision to make. And that will suit me just fine!!

Where do I go
When I need a shelter
Where do I go
When I need some helping
Where Do I go
Back on my knees again.
Ask me this question, I'll tell you no lies
How did I get this fire in my life
All is not certain, But I will get by
listen, I'll tell you why
Sure as the winter comes after the fall
Sure as true love tear down any wall
Jesus is able to carry it all
He will answer our call

Ok this is like de-ja-vu - you just summed up my whole dilemma in a couple of sentences...have you found anyway to just like, get past all that?

I don't trust people. No one.

It's still hard for me to trust people too. I guess its because I am vulnerable and passionate. Always has and always will be regardless if I go to my grave.
