Hmm..along with what juke said..I'm sure it's quite possible that John Edwards can hear/talk [whatever you want to call it] to the dead but I really don't think it's of God. Satan has power too...

Ive lost eight cats. Their names were Pepper, Pickles, Dusty, Scarlett, Tasha, Bozo, Skeeter, Elmo and Jellybean.. I'd like to believe they went to heaven.

I don' t think pets go to heaven because animals don't have souls. I do believe animals will be in heaven, but I don't think any of my dogs (present or past) will be there.

Your comments reminded me of something that happened a couple of years ago. I have a daycare, and at that time we had a pet dog named Max. He loved the kids and the kids loved him. We had a lot of really happy funny times with Max.

But one day Max started acting real strange. It turned out that he had licked up some antifreeze from under one of the cars in the driveway. We got him to the vet and did everything possible. Max did get better enough to bring home. But we knew that the damage to his liver was fatal. He had a few good days and was able to visit the children one last time. But then the liver gave out and Max had to be put down.

The children were told that Max went to Heaven. That first day without Max by our side was hard for me. I had to remain happy and smile pretending all was well, while inside my heart was breaking. I could not get through the normal routine, and instead decided to put a video in the VCR and allow it to entertain the children. Of course al the children wanted to choose their pick from the vast array of videos. I watched as the movies were heaped into enormous piles, as they searched through then. All the while loudly debating over which one was the very bestest to see.

In all the confusion I felt a tug on my leg.

I reached down to pick up the crawling baby, who himself was clutching a video.

The title... All Dogs Go to Heaven.
A coincidence? Or a message from an angel?

If St Paul is right and he is then animals will be in heaven.

Animals are innocent victims of our sinfulness. I believe animals have souls, and they will be in heaven.

That happened to a Black Lab dog I had once. We went down to the cabin one weekend, and my dad had put antifreeze in the toilet to keep it from freezing up. The dog had drank out of the antifreeze before I even realized it. Then like you said, the next day she was sick, had bladder failure and was acting really strange. She even took a sandwich away from my son, which was not like her at all.

When we got home I was talking on the phone to someone about God, then I went over to see the dog and she was not moving at all. I grabbed her collar and shook her and she did not move. Then I yelled out her name and it was as if she woke up. Well, I thought she was going to die, so I put her in the car and took her to the all night vet.

They told me there was nothing they could do. They said just to leave her there, give them $25 and they would get rid of the body for us. So that is what we did. Then the next day they called us on the phone and said to come and pick her up, she was fine. They kept insisting that I must have made a mistake, she could not have drank antifreeze. They said there was nothing wrong with her and she was fine.

She was mad at us for a few days, for leaving her at the vet. But then she was back to normal again after that.

As far as I know, John Edwards could be a telepath, reading minds and entering into the mind and looking at info from people's mind.

Which is why he hasn't done much doing things from letters or email. He needs the person there...

John Edwards has no more insight into what happens after death than anyone else, he is good maybe at reading body language, and that is how he gets his information. In other words he is a showman playing on people's grief. As Christians we have no such need of such hucksterism.
Animals will be in heaven. See Romans Chapter 8.

Now that you've mentioned it, I noticed a lot of movement with the people as they get anxious when being asked, and pretty much read off the person.

If anyone has watched late night poker, or watched professional poker players or even played a poker expert...just by the look in the eyes and body movement they know your exact cards, and they're so accurate pretty much 99%. Unless your a poker player that can counter that.

As for John Edwards, he's just particularly good at reading body language like poker players, then after that, he leads them into it. If it's slightly incorrect he'll see it in the body.

Which fully explains why he has his eyes open when he does the reading, and directly looking at the person. If he was really reading from the dead, he would have closed his eyes most of the time...don't you think?

Because if you hope for one thing, and you don't get it, then all problems are caused. It's better not to hope for something God didn't promise, than to hope for something God didn't mention or promise and to find that it's been turned down all that time.

It's almost like my orchids, I really like them, it would be good if there was orchids in Heaven, but I shouldn't hope for God to put them there. I'd rather put hope for Jesus to lead me to Heaven.

I think that pets will be in heaven. I don't think they have souls, but I think that a God who knows when a sparrow falls has made provisions for our animal family members too. A Heaven without any animals would be a pretty bleak place, I think.

Do misquitos go to heaven?
Do flies?
Do snakes?
Do wasps?
Do ants?
Do spiders?
Do coacroaches?

This is why its selfish. You hope for your own pet ends up there. but if they do, then all the pests that you extirminated will be waiting for your entry, if you make it, too.
