Is anybody here into the rock band OMEGA DAWN? , I got their CD last week and have really got into their music. I read an interview with their singer/ songwriter Damien Gouder on the Internet and he admitted that he was a Christian who he believed was given a second chance by God to make some things right in his life. He said that his band mates didnt always understand what he writes about but he has learnt to be a stronger man and not listen to what the outside world and the music industry thinks and says about his beliefs. He said he was severely tested when his band first entered the industry and his moral beliefs came under heavy attack from everywhere. That he lost touch with his deep innerself and close relationship with God, but God sent a miracle to his life to save him and give him a lifeline. He did not say what the miracle was. Damien said he wants to try to take the music as far as he can in the mainstream, an area which many Christians musicians dont always make it in, and take the spirit of living as a true person to the masses, but in a sophisticated way. On the back of the CD they had a web address www.omegadawnmusic.com. He said he hoped many Christians would pray that the message of God would be spread far and wide. I think they might be to rocky for many Christians, but they also reach a lot of people who listen to music with edge, and maybe they could help them in some way. I dont know just my thoughts, what do you think?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
