Do any of you like Pokemon? I created this thread so people could disscuse why they like it and don't like it. Personally I think Pokemon is babyish. The characters get so worked up just because of their pokemon. It's annoying, and while my sister watches it I roll my eyes. Well what do you think?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When it first came out, I loved it. I saw the pilot episode, memorized the poke-rap, the entire list of the first 150 pokemon, etc. Then, I grew out of it, like any fad. Incredibly powerful tool in controlly my Midnight Minor Minons, though.

I've got episodes of the series stashed away on some old VHS tapes, but I still remember that my favorite part of the first episode is the 'just open your mouth and say something' bit. The rest of it is just too much for me now. I did see part of one of the movies on Cartoon Network a few weeks ago (I think it might've been the third movie?), and it didn't seem all that bad, but meh.And then there was this piece of interesting news I posted about last month...

Pokemon is one of those introductory animes like DBZ that people catch on the cartoon network in butchered form, and then people either move on, or fail to find more respectable stuff.

I kinda miss the original ones, because it seems like they have just gone to far. I don't know why they have so many pokemon. I can understand the Sliver and Gold and then the Crytsal with the 3 dogs, but then it just went to far.I was happy about the fire red and leaf green games, but I lost it.

Agreed. The games ruled. If I could find my game-pack I would still play it. Lol, I hated the cartoon though. It's probably good I lost my game, or I would've never grown up!

Ya what is up with Pokemon now?
I am 17. i played the first Pokemon, u know, the GOOD ones.
Red and Blue. After those they just were not that good. I mean i loved red & blue. u got either squirtel,charmander,or bulbasour. Played as Ash or Gary. The good stuff, but No! they had to change it. 150 pokemon was enugh. i could only catch like....60 of 'em.
