  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I don't know about others, but my church has a basketball court, video games, pool tables, and table tennis tables. :)

That's not the only reason I go though. I really enjoy worshiping God with other Christians, and hanging out with my church friends. Also, I always learn something from my pastor's sermons each week.

To be honest, I'm not too crazy about the church my family is currently attending.

Do I believe that Jesus is my Lord and Savior? Yes.

Is my deepest desire in life to serve Him to the best of my abilities? Absolutely.

And don't get me wrong, there are SO many great people at our church. I'm a teenager and used to be involved with the youth group program until school/sports made me so busy I had to take a break.

Unfortunately, most of the kids I knew from the original youth group are either gone or not the same way I remember them, so it's nearly impossible to fit back in.

The youth group is actually VERY small and thus, it's a very tight-knit group: they have nicknames, inside jokes, everything you could think of. To outsiders, it's very intimidating. The youth pastor and other students never do anything to reach out to other students not currently in the group that I'm aware of, and seem to be perfectly happy without the rest of us with them.

I'm seriously considering looking for a new church :/

I was born and am being raised in a agnositc family. I haven't gone to church a day in my life. For those that do believe God and do go to Church, do you like it? What exactly do you do?

First of all, I'm deeply sorry that you had to grow up in an agnostic family. Did you never have the option to go to church if you wanted to?

But to answer your question, I haven't been to church in awhile. When I was younger, I only went to things for the youth because they were fun. As I'm growing older, I want to recieve the message and understand a little better. My suggestion is look around. Don't let the first church you go to be the deciding factor of churches. Some are boring. Some are upbeat. It's that simply. Just look around and you'll be suprised. Good luck in your search and journey

My church is awesome. They are very deep, and do a "soaking" style of worship(my favorite!). Pretty much, we go wherever the Holy Spirit leads us. We have sung one song for forty minutes before, and I'm ADD. Then we get to listen to an AMAZING pastor talk straight from the Bible with no frills attached. Its glorious.

Honestly, I used to hate church. Hated very Sunday, and dreaded having to wake up Sunday morning.

Since I'm telling this to an agnostic, I probably sound like some Hyper-Pentecostal, but I'm not. Its just good worship at my church and good speaking. Its wonderful.
