Do you know Him like that?

The bible says many will try and get into heaven but will not be able to because Lord Jesus never knew them. Do you have a personal intimate relationship with Lord Jesus Christ? Do you know him like that?

How intimate and personal is your relationship with God?

To some degree this can be determined by how often you sense His presence in your life.

Minute - every waking minute.
Hourly - frequently during the day.
Daily - sometime during each day.
Weekly - perhaps associated with religious services.
Monthly - occasionally through the year.
Yearly - on occasions like Christmas, Easter or the anniversary of a loved one's death.
Seldom - at crisis such as death in family or financial reversal.

Yes, it's about knowing Him. But Jesus said they were bragging about the things they did. Maybe it's all about trusting in Him to get to heaven and not the things we do. And maybe that's how we get to know Him. I could be wrong.

Jesus said to His disciples that on Judgment Day, we will be judged for every deed we have done - everything we ever do is recorded, even sins unless forgiven and erased, in a book(or books - look it up ). (find the Scripture, don't rely on heresay).

Do not read more into it than is there, and do not take away from His Word.
