I always have had at least one in the house, usually two one at the back door and one at the front door. But one of my youth said that she wanted one in her room, so I gave her the one from my front door, then right after she left, I was closing my back door and it fell of and broke  . This was just last weekend, so I don't have one right now, it's weird!

I voted no. But I do have a small container of holy water from Lourdes that is handed out every year at my Cathedral because Our Lady of Lourdes is our patroness during the novena. BTW, it starts this year on Friday!

I know this seems a silly question, but then I am good at asking silly questions...

But why? why have one, and then why have one in all those rooms?

Off the cuff answer: Why not? Blessing oneself with holy water is a reminder of our Baptismal Promises (which we renew EVERY Easter and at every Baptism we attend). Besides it reminds me of the Mezzuzahs that Orthodox Jews would have on their doorways (and touch everytime they entered or exited their homes). It reminded them of the ONE God they worshipped. And as far as I'm concerned, reminders can't hurt.

I had to vote "no" ... I don't have one, but I should...I've seen some beautiful ones and I just can't make up my mind:scratch: ... however, I must say, I do carry a Holy Water Bottle in my purse, (although, it's empty right now:sigh: ).

 Happy Saint Valentines' Day:hug:
