Do you have a hobby, craft or collection?

I've taken up several hobbies/crafts/collections over the years, dropped some, stayed with others.

I have always loved pigs. I have a collection of them ranging from hand-carved wood to Beanie baby to porcelain with state names on them. I grew up on a farm and baby pigs were my favorite...never lost that love.

When Ty Beanie Babies came out I was crazy over the bears (still am ;)) Don't pick them up like I used to though.

I collect dust. The collection has been more extensive over the years, now weekly or so I try to combat my collection ^_^

I have knitted, crocheted, cross-stitched and made rugs. Still cross-stitch once in a while but as the vision goes, so goes the cross-stitch.

I love art, drawing, painting, coloring...I'm not the best at it but I like it. Now, my art is in the form of beading jewelry. I don't like seed beads so mostly my stuff is larger scale than that.

Is reading a hobby? I have enjoyed reading since I was a teen. I hope, in August, to meet my favorite author...Max Lucado.

Ok, spill it...what do you have around the house that collects dust mostly but you love to look at. Are you a crafter? What are your specialities? Have any hobbies? Let's hear it.

ok...i love to scrapbook. this is fairly new to me. I also collect beanies for my boys. I have a collection of snowbabies that collect dust, but i love to look at them. i started collecting them the first Christmas that i was pregnant for my first child. now my husband buys me one or two or three every Christmas. I collect magazines LOL! I have stacks of parenting mags, scrap mags, pc mags, and home improv mags. I love taking pictures, although I don't consider myself a photographer. I would love to take a class or two!
How's that for starters??

I dunno Dawn, is Guy-watching a hobby? ^_^

On a more serious note, here lately I've really gotten into bird-watching! I find it fun and relaxing  As far as collections go, I have been collecting horses almost my whole life~ now over the years, I have lost a lot due to moving so much, but if I had them all, it would probably fill this apt.!!!

You all have some good ones there, sisters.

Let me mention just a few:

- Making flags for flag worship (some with applications, some without).
- Taken classes in ceramics and in flower bouquets/decorations (fresh flowers).
- Made lots of bouquets of silk flowers & natural materials and gold/silver threads earlier.
- I loved to draw when I was younger.
- Computer stuff, graphics & text etc. Just doing some creative stuff on the computer like making cards etc.
- Does decorating cakes count?

Hi all

I am researching my family tree. That's my main hobby really ,though I like other things too. When I was a child I used to collect badges - the sort you pin on your clothes and used to be able to buy when you e.g. visited somewhere as a momento etc. I also used to collect stamps.

You all have some interesting hobbies.

TW, I think guy watching is considered a sport ;) I love birds too. I have a book that I try to discern the names of the birds. There are some barn swallows out on a line now that are singing...it actually sounds like they are fussing.

Marezee, when I see someones scrapbooking project it really looks cool. I am not one to finish anything so I fear I'd start a lot of them and never get done. ^_^

Unni, you use your flags in your worship don't you? I bet they are beautiful.

Sue, I think my oldest daughter would instantly like you. She likes researching our family tree (she thinks we are Irish).

Let's give Renee a hobby, shall we?

How about creative writing...you can still take care of your baby and you can put it down when you need to.
thank you I used to read. When you have a "blue baby" in your house you don't have time for anything.
