I went to my ten year reunion and was not impressed. The people I most wanted to see were not in attendance and the ones who did show up had not changed all that much in behavior since high school, which I found a little scary. Apparently I wasn't the only one disappointed in the experience, as no 20 or 25 year reunion was planned.

Jan are you picking on John?:D
I went to a small school to match my IQ!^_^ Just kidding I think:doh:
So far we've had a reunion every 5 years since graduation. I went to 5 wasn't able to attend 10th, but went to 15th 20th, and actually was in charge of the 25th( with 2 other classmates also) I usually go just to see old friends and talk about the Glory days of playing football and such. It's kinda sad that we've already lost 4 classmates since school. Our graduating class only had 95 people in it. Anywho I know some people don't like class reunions, but so far the ones I,ve been to have been alright;)

I only went to the picnic portion of the 10th reunion, and i was with my ex at the time, who wasn't impressed (but i have since found out, no one was impressed with him, either!! lol) I went to my 20th and my 30th, and the 30th was great!!! I even danced a little at the 30th, and I haven't danced in 25 years!!

Are you kidding? Not in a million years!

I have spent my post-college adulthood making an interesting life for myself in New York City. Why would I want to go back to a little town in the Midwest to see people I have nothing in common with, just because fate happened to thow us together for our 3 years of secondary education?

A guy I ran with in highschool called me when I was visiting my parents for Christmas a couple of years ago. He happened to be in town visiting his mother. We were not really close. We were very competitive in school, but we were in the same clique. I really had nothing to say to him in our very short conversation. I wanted to say "If I haven't spoken to you in 20 years, DON'T YOU THINK THERE'S A REASON."

I'm sure some of them have made nice lives for themselves, wherever they are, and I'm happy for them, but before I'd go back and spend a weekend with them I'd be in Paris.

I haven't been to any of mine. Our 30th is coming up this summer and I thought I might finally attend. I saw the date the other day and saw that it was a weekend I was going to be out of town with our youth group. They come first so I guess I won't go to this one either. Oh well, I still see a lot of my classmates around anyway. One of them was even a high school for my oldest son. She doesn't do reunions either!

Just this past year was our 25th.....as far as I know there wasn't a reunion even planned....or maybe they forgot to invite me!!! Like someone said earlier, most of the people I have seen in passing hasn't changed a bit. Still immature and in their click!! So sad! If there is another one planned, I doubt I'll go.

I went to the 5 year class reunion and felt so much like an outsider that I decided not to go to any more. Most of my highschool members did not go to college and that is part of the difference. But also, I realized that most of my friends in highschool where in the year or two ahead of me so I really wasn't very close to anyone there.

Our High Schools 50th anniversary was last year, and I sooooo wanted to go. But I live 1700 miles away from where I graduated now, and it's just way too expensive to make the trip. But someday I'll get back thatways. I'd like to do the same for the college I went to but I don't think they organize much in that way there.

to your High School reunion? My 30 year reunion is this year and I'm wondering if I'll go. One reason I wouldn't go would be I wouldn't want to attend alone. One reason I would go is to see some folks that don't still live around here.

So my question for you is...well, do you go? If you do, why? If not, why?
My 25 is this year, Jan. I live 2,000 miles away from my hometown and visit once or twice a year to see my family. I don't think I'll go to the reunion because I see all my high school friends when I make my regular yearly trips back to the east coast. Also, my HS was huge. My graduating class was almost 800.
I'd probably go if I were single, but since I've been happily married for almost 14 years, well, that's enough for me!
