  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do you forget what your age is?

Since I've reached my 30's I've found that I constantly forget what age I am. :) The other day I was convinced I was 37 and was "shocked" that I'd would be 39 this year!

For us 30-somethings does anyone else experience this?

LOLOL all the time Lotuspetal!

i think my brain stopped thinking about how old i was about 15 years ago!

LOL Very true! I recall getting signed up at a new GP surgery. I was 30 at the time but when the nurse asked how old I was I started to say, "twenty six" but after saying the '20' part I hesitated and then said, "oh you want my real age don't you?" The nurse couldn't stop laughing! :D

I forget all the time too. It started around age 34-35.

I've found that since that age I have to mentally subtract my birth year from the current year to quickly get my age :)

I forget a lot too. When I do my kids feel free to remind me. Then they also remind me I am 2 years older than daddy! LOL

LOL!

Now I've got that to look forward to with my little one. At the moment she says that I'm 2 (she's currently 3). :)

.......

Although we never really talked about whether this was my mental age...;)

Every then and again I do...Awhile back I was convinced I was still just 30 and My Sweet Wife was steady reminding me that I was 32...soon I will be 33 so that will be a new age to be reminded about :) Like Phil though I remember my age by remembering My Wife's and then checking the difference of age now:)

Sincerely,
Templedweller:)

All the time. I mean, ask me, and I'll tell you my correct age... but I tend to feel exactly the same as I did at 20. In fact, I occasionally feel like an 'undercover' younger person living in the world of the older. Not that 30 is old or anything, lol.
