Does this question have something to do with those laws that tells us the we can't start or have fires on Sabbath day and without fires we can't drive a car, due to sparkplugs making fire, to church for worship?Do you have a refrigerator?
Please read the bible and stop assuming. It clearly states that he met with the gentiles only and outside the synagogue.Yes but this was in the synagogue or afterwards in what we'd call an after glow probably held at the same facility. We do note that Paul moved from the syanagogue to a house in one instance after being pushed out of the synagogue.
When does a church collect money? What does this have to do with the claim that money is placed in a treasury and not a piggy bank at home? If the money needs to be collected in the home it is obviously scatered all over the house. This simply doesn't make sense. If the money is in everybodies house it must be collected when Paul arrives. I asked who goes to the church just to give money every week when they aren't meeting. Thus I think it would also mean that they met for worship on the first day of the week. BTW the Corinthian church isn't the only one that did. The Council of Laodicea wasn't convened, attendedor even represented by the RCC. Evidence besides the Scriptures adequately record this for us as a common practice before 100 AD.How come collecting money denote Sunday observance?
Stop being ridiculous. One is about the Law, the other is about Christ and Him fulfilling the prophecies concerning Him.Then explain Luke 24:44 which limits the meaning of Mat 5:17-18.
The 10 commandments are only a PART of the 613 commandments of the Mosaic Covenant....do you keep them all? James 2:10 says that if you are guilty of breaking just ONE, you are guilty of breaking them ALL. The Mosaic Covenant was given to Israel, which includes the Sabbath which was not given to man UNTIL the Exodus. There is no commandment in the New Testament epistles for the Gentiles to keep the Sabbath, nor is there any commandment written by the Apostes to keep the 10 commandments.James showed that for the 10 commandments. You who oppose the sabbath extend it to all laws to secure a basic for your arguments. James only mentions tenants of the 10 commandments as his examples.
This response doesn't anwer the question. I didn't ask about what refigerators do. If it is running properly it doesn't throw off sparks. If it did you'd have it replaced or fixed. Please answer the question.Does this question have something to do with those laws that tells us the we can't start or have fires on Sabbath day and without fires we can't drive a car, due to sparkplugs making fire, to church for worship?
What is your intention of this question?
Don't forget that motors also produce sparks so you'll have to turn off your refrigerator on Sabbath day if you want to keep the law perfectly.
Since I'm assuming I suppose there is a Scripture that states Paul was meeting exclusively with the Gentiles and didn't have contact with them at the synagogue at least first and when and where they normally assembled. Please read the bible and stop assuming. It clearly states that he met with the gentiles only and outside the synagogue.

It is made clear that we as Christians are under grace and are save by grace by faith.
Does that mean that we do not keep the 10 commandments?
A Jehovah's witness made it a point of telling me that the commandments are abolished. My next question was, can I have sex with you?
Answer, No!
Why Not?
We have to keep the spirit of the law.
What! The law died and the spirit lives?
Is that what we believe?
Does that make sense?
If we acknowledge that we can not lie or steal or commit adultery, do we not acknowledge that the law is still for us?
And what did Dr Luke say Jesus said? Is it merely ridiculous because it doesn't fit a prescribed thought pattern? Please show this through a discussion of the verse.Stop being ridiculous. One is about the Law, the other is about Christ and Him fulfilling the prophecies concerning Him.
I find it interesting that Jemes uses the word law and not commandments in the 2 verses. This does 2 things for me. One it establishes the 10 Cs as the law and 2 it says the law which is used in referenct to the law (Torah) of Moses which includes the 10 Cs.James showed that for the 10 commandments. You who oppose the sabbath extend it to all laws to secure a basic for your arguments. James only mentions tenants of the 10 commandments as his examples.
Exactly...James is not speaking of just the 10 commandments...he is speaking of the entire 613 commandments of Torah.I find it interesting that Jemes uses the word law and not commandments in the 2 verses. Yes but is specified to be done on the first day of the week. Also this isn't a reference to modern day religious practices 1900 years after it was written.Firstly money can be collected without a church service may not even be money, food and clothes. Secondly If it is collected at a gathering or a service it does not mean they did not observe the sabbath before. As you know we meet in church gatherings more than once a week and SDA's meet on Sabbath and Sundays.
The point we accept something that is not plainly stated while rejecting that which was.
Oh please! Are you saying that we are reconciled to God by the abolishing of the ten Commandments?
That is a negatory! Polarization is waht makes them run, unless of course you have one that runs off of some other kind of fuel such as a gas. I asked if Elder 111 had a refrigerator? Do you? So I guess I shoud have asked if he had an elcetric one.whats the question?
All electric motors give off sparks.
Thats what makes them run.
Yes I have a refrigerator and no you can't store you pork in it.That is a negatory! Acts 16 13And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.Since I'm assuming I suppose there is a Scripture that states Paul was meeting exclusively with the Gentiles and didn't have contact with them at the synagogue at least first and when and where they normally assembled.
If one has and electric refrigerator they are doing business on the sabbath on account. Accepting delivery of goods is business. And they are technically within one gates or delivery couldn't be made. They are paying some one to nonlife saving work. To say other wise is foolish. To take advantage of the system because is it available is still sin to do business on the sabbath. That is what the day of preperation is for. It is possible to not use the fridge, lights or AC as well. Just not convient or comfortable. The point is that one isn't observing the sabbath according to the law or even as Jesus did. As such this is willful known sin.Yes I have a refrigerator and no you can't store you pork in it.
I was referring to the Jewish law on the electricity. I read other reasons here at this link. I thought it would be fire. Click here on what I was referring to.
Interesting read anyway for the commandment extremist, if I may say.
There is no support for the fact that Lydia seller of purple wasn't a Jewess or was a gentile. This is a far cry from proving the mentioned was with gentiles exclusively. In fact these aren't the group that ask to hear more the next sabbath.Acts 16 13And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.
Hello. Lurker Alex here. I am having the hardest of times undertanding why, with all the overwhelming preponderance of evidence, being presented here, to disprove your views, you maintain such rigidity, to facts, and scripture. If your fellow members show you a key, why not open the door?Acts 16 13And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.
