I think the Q'ran is every bit as useless as the Bible and would be quite happy to discuss its failings at any time. But where? Where are the Islamic websites open to infidels?

And your message still seems to be the 'highway patrol' excuse......

'How dare you write me a ticket officer, there are lots of people going faster than I was!'

Maybe you missed the parts in the Qur'an that talks of compassion, equality, and freedom of religion? And the parts in the old testament that talks about slaughtering babies and enslaving children? Isn't it great to pick and choose only the things you like from your religious book ...

I don't think even the staunchest skeptic would suggest that the Old Testament doesn't contain some factual historical information.

Well, Jerusalem is certainly where it says it is...............so I suppose we can expect horseborn men with swords sticking out of their mouths to swoop down on us anytime soon......

I have a question.

How do you categorise those billions of people who fervently worship a god/s other than yours?

So, if you have no further questions, and you are absolutely convinced that the Bible is untrue, and that Christians therefore believe a lie, why are you still on these forums?

Are you here simply to try and convince some of us that we are all wrong? Is it your aim to turn people away from their faith in Jesus? What exactly are you hoping to accomplish if you truly are not here because you have honest questions about the Christian faith?

I don't "categorize" them. They are people, just as I am. I am no better than anyone else, and I am no more deserving of forgiveness than anyone else.

Let me more specific.........

How do you categorise their beliefs in gods other than yours?

Do you think they are mistaken? Misled? Ignorant? Lying?

How do you describe the nature of their beliefs?

Jesus died for each and every single one of us. I am not going to go out and point fingers and resort to name calling and insults regarding other people and their beliefs. Doing so means that I have forgotten that I too am a sinner, saved by grace.

The truth is all of those words, "mistaken", "mislead", "ignorant", "lying", have been true of every single one of us at one point or another, I am no different in that regard. However, Jesus is none of those things, He never fails and His forgiveness is for everyone.

I don't understand here....

In an earlier message, you complained that all of the criticism levelled here is about Christian faith. That nothing was ever said that was critical about other belief systems, especially Islam.

Well, here's a golden opportunity. Instead of interrogating you about your belief, I want to hear what you think about belief in those other gods, in particular Islam. Do you consider those beliefs as valid as your own? Are those beliefs correct?

Yes, but the "logic" here is that if some is true, then all is true.

Because you know, that's how it works, you betcha...

In an earlier message, you complained that all of the criticism levelled here is about Christian faith. That nothing was ever said that was critical about other belief systems, especially Islam.

I was referring to the claims made here that the Bible is "nonsense" and "a book of fairy tales." And I was then asking the question as to why anyone who believes this cares about the Bible at all. And I was wondering why we aren't more concerned with what is being done in the name of Islam with the use of the Quran.

Well, here's a golden opportunity. Instead of interrogating you about your belief, I want to hear what you think about belief in those other gods, in particular Islam. Do you consider those beliefs as valid as your own? Are those beliefs correct?

Well, Islam actually has various things in common with Christianity and with Judaism. They do believe that Jesus is real for instance, just that He isn't our Saviour or the Son of God. Judaism is the same in this regard. In this they have not accepted what Jesus said about Himself. He is the Son of God and our Saviour.

I am not interested in pointing fingers and name calling, however. If I call other people names, I am forgetting how I myself have fallen short and need a Saviour. Jesus is available for everyone, not just me or a select group of Christians.

You wouldn't be name-calling at all. You would simply be stating that they are wrong, either due to ignorance, deceit, or something else.

It's not dogma, as a Christian parts of our brain function that does not function for non christians. There is evidence for that when they scan the brain. Without religion mankind would all die off.
How do you believe, then, that homo sapiens lived long enough to come up with religion? This seems rather like saying that mankind would die off without complex tools. I'm sure it seems that way now, but obviously we did fine without them before we invented them.

Who asked you to call names? I'm asking what you think about those beliefs in gods other than your own. Can you not give an assessment of those belief systems without pointing fingers or calling names? Does it matter which god people believe in, or is it just believing in something supernatural that is important?

Did fine without what, before we invented what? The whole point of Adam and Eve in the Bible is NOT that "God formed man from the dust of the ground". The point is that God "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

Genisis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

People talk about the inspiration of the Holy Spirit or being inspired by God. This is why for atheists the Word of God has no impact on them because they do not know the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God. Some people talk about intuitive thinking: "instinctive and unconscious knowing without deduction or reasoning." So you can come here and sing the praise of deductive reasoning all day long. But that does not mean that intuitive thinking does not exist. In fact according to people like Einstein a great deal of Scientific discovery is based on intuitive thinking. Or some would refer to being inspired by God.

Perhaps you invented God, they may be true for you. But that is not true for me. My testimony is very different from you. So if you want to mock and persecute me, then perhaps you need to explain why it is ok for you to attack me for being different or thinking different then you do. Is this sort of persecution not just one step away from Isis wanting to chop off the heads of Christians. If people do not know Love and all they know is hate then what sort of relationships are they able to have? Are Christians commiting hate crimes? That is rare. Usually it is the non Christians that commit hate crimes against humanity.
