At the risk of being offensive...why do we have to be the protestants? I don't know about you people, but for me I see that title as a negative connotation.

becaue no matter what we say that is what we are called. I have said time after time I am not a protestant, but it goes in on ear and out the other. I say I am a Christian and am greeted, with what does that make us? Duh. Christians.

I voted for the forum...but am reconsidering. It would end up being a debate about Calvinism vs. arminianism, or other such things.

IMHO

If we had a Protestant Forum, there would be a lot of debate, flames and anger.
My Protestant beliefs are not necessarily the same Protestant beliefs as someone from a different Protestant Denomination. While some have the grace to portray their differences effectively and without hurting another's feelings, other's just plain don't.

I think those times were the "Reformation Era" for CF though.

The baptists arent protestants by the way, that is if you buy into that hoopla

Ummm.... The Anabaptist/Baptist tradition was born from the protestant reformation. But, just to make a note: The Anglican church has the same conflict.
