Dreams are not physical realities. We do not pick and choose our dreams with our volition actively. I don't think we sin in our dreams. E.g., if we dream we murder our enemy, it does not mean that we have committed a sin in murder. However, Jesus said in
Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.
If we are having a recurring dream about murders, then we should check our hearts. Make sure that you have forgiven your enemies.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
I don't think we can actually sin in our dreams. However, we can sin in our hearts. Ask the Holy Spirit to cleanse our hearts when we have troubling dreams.
Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.
