Do Not Run To The World!

What do you gain,
from running to the world?
Knowing that holding on to this world's life is vain,
why do you let yourself get whirled?

Everything in this world is just temporary,
when it is over it will all be gone.
You should consider your choices and be wary,
don't let any wrong nor hesitant moves be done.

Why do you run away from the truth?
Why do you leave your faith in Christ behind?
To stay in the truth many trials you must endure,
and to grow in your faith the mind of Christ you must find.

What makes you doubt,
your relationship and life with Jesus Christ?
Don't you understand this seed of faith needs to sprout?
Don't you understand you need to be made right in your relationship with Him who for you willingly was sliced?

Why do you run to the world o little child?
When Jesus Christ died for you?
Whilst all your sins on Him were piled,
why can't you see His love for you too?

Because everything in this world which you see,
in the end it will no longer matter any more!
Because everything in this world will no longer be,
so why do you keep yourself stuck to this world's lore?

Do not run to the world,
which is already lost!
As you will be towards perdition hurled!
And about this one shouldn't boast!

But run to the One who saves all souls,
He who paid your price of death willingly!
Repenting of your sins and believing on Him,
Jesus Christ the Saviour and Lord should be your main goal.
Only through Him,
you will truly be saved!

Thank you! It wasn't as peaceful around me when I wrote it down, but I still wanted to write it down. Sometimes you need to write down what is true, and declaring it all for yourself in written form of words in paper.

I know what you mean. God can work in your heart and mind even though the world is chaotic around you. Whenever He inspires you, just write!

I have found that God uses other people to inspire me more than anything lately. Because we are a family, and not only a family but His body, and He unites us in Him through His love.

And I got this to mind; "How someone could run to this world for just short temporary pleasures and leave what's most important and everlasting behind? How someone could be willing to live in the world and then die, to so perish? Whilst they were given this eternal life through Jesus Christ? Which is what's truly "real life"!

In the end everything we gained here on earth will not profit us anything! It will no longer be of any use nor give us anything more! It will all just be gone! And when one stands before God, and He asks whether we used it for His glory or for His Kingdom, what shall they answer Him in return? All we do are but filthy rags to God, nothing of it profits anything when done by our own hands alone. Nothing of it either saves us!

Though when everything is done for His glory, and for His Kingdom, it will be rewarded by the Father! It doesn't save us, not at all! Only His Son Jesus Christ does! But it will make us bear good fruits in Him!

Amen, sister! Whatever we do in this world, it gains us nothing.

"For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21

That's what Paul felt, and I agree! I would rather die than to return to the world. But if I live, I'll be alive in Christ. I cherish every day with Him, but I nothing in this world would keep me here except for living for His Glory. It is why He put us here, to live in Him and do His work! So why run back to the world? It's senseless. It's selfishness. But in the end, it isn't even self-serving, because we would end up in Hell or at least lose much reward in Heaven. So what is the point?

Let's lose our lives for Christ, pick up our Crosses and be alive in Him.

I have just started practicing with getting renewed with my mind in Christ through His Word today, came some "turbulence" around me. But I will just keep on going on with this, and it feels also good diving more into His Word and keeping it in mind. Just staying close to Jesus Christ!

I understand what you mean. Let His Sword slice through any obstacle that comes, and destroy any stronghold you find. And let His love fill your heart with peace. His Word will eventually fill both your mind and heart. And it will by a lamp to your feet, for you to follow.

I just listened to this song now. Touching song, and I am becoming more and more like this in my thought pattern. Yet, it is the road we were meant to walk when following Jesus Christ.

And it is a blessed road, even though it is also filled with sufferings. But with the end goal of it, it is all worth it enduring this all in Christ!
