  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Since May 1, I have loved assembling here with brothers and sisters in the Family of God. This is an awesome place. I pray that all of you will continue to assemble here and love oneanother and enjoy sweet Christian Fellowship.

This place is a ministry unto itself and for all who assemble here. Keep coming, keep loving, keep praying.

Yes Gerry. As I say I think you hit the nail on the head. With as the day approaching. As the time approaches we are warn that times are going to get tough our faith is going to be tested. It is a time to have a ardent Love. To stand firm on the word of God least we fall. We are told it is the only thing that will stand forever.
In my younger day I would go white water rafting. When the current got really strong or you would be going over a large waterfall. You would hold on tighter than in the shallow's or ponds. I believe now is the time to hold on to the living word of God. Use it for the manual of Life.

WOW! I love that anology of holding on tighter. And it is true that all Christians should see that day approaching, and that we should all hold on tighter to our faith and to our love for Jesus and for one another. Now is the time for unity in the Body as it never has been before. We are indeed in the rough waters now and if we do not rescue those who are washed over we will not have their strength later when it is important that we all pull together.

amen gerry. On one trip rafting there was a young lady who could not swim when the raft when over and we lost it. Try saving somebody that's drowning they kick and fight for awhile before they will let you get a good hold on them.Whatever I think we need to remind ourselves to hold on tighter with God's love so they don't go under and if they still pull away. Put our Love to work with prayer.

Yes I agree we need them all.
