  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I know we discourage the consumption of caffeinated products, but this is purely for health purposes.

Yes, that is what I thought too...

I know a lot of Adventists who drink herbal/green teas, as they are good for you, but not many drink just the 'normal' tea.

Adventists officially discourage the consumption of caffeine (although not all of our members follow this counsel)--in coffee, tea, soft drinks, etc.--not all tea. Many kinds of herbal tea are good for you. Caffeine is a drug and is not good for you. I used to drink caffeinated beverages a lot when I was younger but cut it out of my diet when I went to college. Now if I drink anything like that, I get really bad withdrawal headaches afterward.

We believe in good health, with no drugs. Caffiene is a drug, that affects our brains. SDA church dosn't incourage drinking tea, but it is souley your decision. Personaly I gave up tea so that I could be a clean Temple of Jesus.
