A few months ago, it so happened that I had to drive somewhere at the same time every day, and so every day I got to hear on EWTN radio part of what I think was the Divine Mercy Chaplet. ("Eternal Father, I offer you the body and blood, soul and divinity of your dearly beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.")
It was sung by the Priest, and by a choir of what sounded like children with him. Really Beautiful!
I find myself singing parts of it to myself, as it "gets stuck in my head" sometimes. Is this appropriate, or is it a service meant only to be conducted by a Priest?
When is it perfomed, and for what purpose? (BTW: What is a chaplet?) I think I have heard of it being used in conjunction with the rosary...
Now it is conducted by a Priest who speaks it instead of singing, and that throws me! Can I get a recording of it sung? How would I know if it was the same version as I grew used to hearing on EWTN?
