Disciple

[Hobo No More]

Hi,

I hear that Disciple took their influences from Metallica. My bro is a massive Metallica fan and wants to know what Disciple's stuff is like. If there are any Metallica and Disciple fans who can you tell me what songs to look for which are similar then that would be great. Thanks

I don't know how similar it is but Back Again is an excellent song.

I don't think they are very similar. Disciple leans more to the rap/rock and industrial style than Metallica's soloing and inherent use of scales (that is, Old Metallica pre-Black album). Disciple is a pretty decent band, though, and your brother should at least check a few songs out. He just shouldn't take a listen with the mindset, "They can compare to Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield."

Hmm.. I'm a big Disciple fan and consider them to be different than Metallica for sure.. you can check out some streaming audio on http://www.disciplerocks.com. Alot of people say Eternal Decision sounds a lot like Metallica, so you may check them out as well..
