CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
direct tv or cox?

We have a different kind of cable but my parents use Direct TV and it's pretty nice, easy to use, and offers a wide range of different channels. I don't know much about Cox so unfortunately I can't help you there.

DirectTV, no question about it. Although their customer service is shady, at times, they still are miles and miles ahead of DishNetwork or any other competitor.
But, to be perfectly honest, all you really need in this day and age is the $8 a month Netflix package and a little cursory knowledge of where to find all the "free tv" sites on the internet. No commercials, no promotions and no contracts. I haven't paid a cable bill in YEARS and have no intentions of ever doing so again. And, in the words of one of my personal heroes, Peter LaFleur, "It feels PHENOMENAL!"
