  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello Everyone!

I am a highschool senior entering college this fall. My major is undeclared and I'm trying to find what I want to study. My future plans are these: I wish to work for a Christian International Organization. Perhaps being the spokesperson and/or running the business operations of the organization. What major do you think I should study under? My idea was a B.S. in International Business with a minor in Public Relations. What do you think?

That certainly sounds like a good choice to me. Of course, I have no experience in those areas, so I may not be the best to judge.

It might be worthwhile to contact (phone is probably better than email) some Christian organizations (HR departments) and try to ask them what kind of credentials they usually look for. It's likely that some of them won't be willing to talk to you, but you'll probably find some that will. Or, someone in the appropriate department at the college(s) you are applying to might be able to guide you into the right major.

Alternatively, try to look up jobs online that match your interests, and see what kind of education they are looking for.
