Peter and the boys and those who were jews in times past, were saved by believing the gospel of the CIRCUMCISION.

Abraham was not a Jew and was redeemed Isaiah 29:22.

Abraham was given the promise of the Spirit of regeneration when His name was changed from Abram to AbraHam:
that name change was the promise to Abraham of the "Everlasting Gospel of regeneration in the Living Spirit of adoption".

Jacob was not a Jew when His name was changed to "Israel", as a sign of the Adoption into the One New Man who "was to come",
the night He wrestled with the pre-incarnate LORD Jesus Christ [Genesis 32; Hosea 12:3-5], who gave Him His own "New Man name" [Isaiah 49].

Israel is "My people, called by My Name"; He surnamed them with His own New Man name, Israel "Prince with God": Note: He did not name them YHWH: which Name "Jesus" only "Knows" intimately, as being "In that Name", [Rev 19:12
His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.}
which He came in, as "Salvation, which is ="Hoshea" which was Joshua's name before Moses renamed him; He also surnamed Peter with His own "Rock" Name; and surnamed James and John the 'Sons of Thunder"

Rev 19:12
His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.The Name "written" that no man knew save He, Himself, is "YHWH". His New Man name which He gives to all who call upon Him for Salvation is "Israel" the One New Man; and no one has that name "written" in them [except they are regenrated in the One Living Spirit of the New Man Nature], until they are regenerated in body, with the DNA of the incorruptible New Man DNA "Coded" in their Regenerated body, made in His image.

At this time, we who are alive in the Spirit of Christ by the New Birth are "written" in our DNA code with our "Adam" DNA bodies in which we are multiplied seed of Adam, fallen son of God [Luke 3;38; Genesis 5:2], but at the change, or translation of our bodies, we get a New Man Code "Written" in our New Man bodies.
Rev 19:12
His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written [YHWH], that no man knew, but he himself.

He is dual natured YHWH/Israel; He is God, the Living Spirit, come in human flesh of the second creation as brother to Adam and Adam's Kinsman/Redeemer.

Jacob's conversion to a redeemed soul;


Genesis 32; Wrestling with God
22 And he arose that night and took his two wives, his two female servants, and his eleven sons, and crossed over the ford of Jabbok. 23 He took them, sent them over the brook, and sent over what he had. 24 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man [not an Adam person] wrestled with him until the breaking of day. 25 Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. 26 And He said, "Let Me go, for the day breaks."
But he said, "I will not let You go unless You bless me!"
27 So He said to him, "What is your name?"
He said, "Jacob."
28 And He said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but *Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed."
29 Then Jacob asked, saying, "Tell me Your name, I pray."
And He said, "Why is it that you ask about My name?" And He blessed him there.
30 So Jacob called the name of the place *Peniel: "For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved."

Hosea 12;
"The Lord also brings a charge against Judah,And will punish Jacob according to his ways;
According to his deeds He will recompense him.
3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb,
And in his strength he struggled with God.*
4 Yes, he struggled with the Angel and prevailed;
He wept, and sought favor from Him.
He found Him in Bethel,
And there He spoke to us--
5 That is, the Lord God of hosts.
The Lord is His memorable name.
