  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

In the film, Secret Window, starring Johnny Depp, there's a scene where Depp is in his car, outside his former home. He glances at the side rearview mirror, in doing so he reveals to the audience an interesting line etched onto the mirror. Depp never reads the line nor shows any signs of having seen it.
So what is the line? Answers on a postcard please to....
The first person with the correct answer, recieves 50 blessings.

Also I'd like to get a debate going as to the distinction between reality and imagination. Because the film does, I think, explore this issue to a great degree.
How many others on this site has experienced "falling" whilst going to sleep? The scene where Depp falls from his couch and into an imaginary sea shore being a perfect example from the film.
Personally, I hate those blurrings between reality and the imagination. Because it skews your perspective on reality.

Have you seen David Cronenberg's eXistenZ? I think it deals with the same issues, and I'm sure it's a better film than Secret Window.

Lol, I agree, Existenz was a boring a film. :)
Secret Window, by contrast, is quite a gripping film from beginning to end. The director plays it well by letting Johnny Depp take control of the audience right from the first scene. No problemo!
Otheriwise, Secret Window without Depp, might have really been a flop!
