An international ministry for Christ says a recent trip to Fiji revealed a strong revival in the South Pacific nation -- and that even nature has responded to God's move there. Jack Dennison of CitiReach International tells Joel News that many top government officials, including the president and the prime minister, have become deeply committed Christians. Those officials, according to the report, are leading the way in a national call to repentance. "Local church leaders describe how even the military who led the 2000 coup, and are now imprisoned, have turned to Christ for forgiveness," Dennison says, adding that townspeople where the military leaders are jailed report hearing "roaring sounds of worship" from inside the prisons. But Dennison says there is even more evidence of God's regenerative power: the coral reefs, following decades of disintegration, are coming alive again. "Teeming schools of fish are returning to local seas and to fresh water streams," he says. "Schools of crab are walking up onto beaches after being absent for scores of years." Among other signs, Dennison says, is fruit that is growing on trees and on vines "where it hasn't for years."
