Something I've always wondered about 2 Timothy 4:9-10 is did Titus abandon Paul? I mean not that it's super important one way or the other but I would seriously not expect such action from someone like Titus.

Anyone know anything about this? I could look it up in a commentary I'm sure but maybe someone here who has ministry training or just more knowledge can chime in. I'm curious.

Titus is venerated as a saint. He went on to become bishop of Crete.

Demas and Titus were two different people. Demas, while he was involved in ministry and traveled with Paul for some time, eventually fell away from the faith and abandoned Paul and left for Thessalonica.

I figured as much, I was reading this earlier though and for whatever reason I took it to mean that Titus just abandoned Paul. I mean Paul does say later that nearly everyone left him so I just wondering.

It's an understandable confusion. Sometimes names can be translated into different names but for the same person. However, we know based on historical evidence what happened to Titus later in life so that gives a pretty good idea that Demas wasn't Titus :)
