they didn't practice or live in sin!!! but they did sin..... they weren't sinners!!! but they did fall short
you keep referencing this scripture and using it out of context. "doth not commit sin" is speaking of in the continual tense meaning a practice and as a born again believer i agree that we do not practice sin but we do fall short. I will not comment on you saying you don't sin because the bible speaks for itself it that regard. God Bless you and thanks for the conversation, i really enjoyed it...Thanks for your testimony.
My testimony is: I am born of God, I do not commit sin, I cannot sin, for His Seed remains in me.
1 John 3
[9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

practicing sin is not the same as a person that sins!!! practicing sin is one who lives "IN SIN" one who continues IN SIN because He is a slave to it. before I knew Jesus and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior I was this person, I was a sinner. But after I accepted Jesus old things passed away and behold I because new!!! I am no longer a sinner meaning I no longer LIVE IN SIN MEANING IT IS NO LONGER A PRACTICE!!. practice what? willful sin! I do fall short in my thinking at times and at night when I reflect on my day I realize there are things that did that was sin (example: rushing out the store I saw someone that I could of helped with their bags, my spirit was telling me to but I was in a rush so I didn't) to me that was sin but It isn't a practice!!! I thank you for your conversation. there is nothing wrong with agreeing to disagree and I believe that's where we are on this so God BlessOxymoron. Didn't practice sin, didn't live in sin... BUT they did sin!
No. Your "BUT", just undid what you claimed.
When God's Spirit dwells within a man, there is no "BUT" of continued sin.

I never said that a converted man is the same old man. God Bless saintWhere does Scripture teach you, that a man who HAS become converted, is the SAME OLD man that that STANDS AGAINST God, which WAS his sins, he was forgiven of?
Thanks for your testimony.
My testimony is: I am born of God, I do not commit sin, I cannot sin, for His Seed remains in me.

NO, NO, NO, and NO.But, if you call yourself a sinner, then you are a sinner.I call myself a Christian, set free from sin, by Jesus Christ.I cannot sin, because I am born of God and His seed resides within me.
Christians are.Dead to the Flesh.Dead to the Law.Dead to Sin.

Paul considered himself the "chief of sinners". Everyone except Jesus is a sinner.
If he is NOT the same old man, then HOW does he thereafter conversion ever sin?

So have you never sinned since becoming a Christian? I have met people who claim this before but when I watch them, they will eventually do something sinful.No.
Being saved means, God has restored your soul.
Being born again means, God has quickened your spirit.
Being saved and born again means, God has forgiven you ALL of your sins, and Dwells within you.
God dwelling within you, means YOU CAN NOT SIN AGAIN.
Lest you have some notice in Scripture, to support your teaching, that you can share, that says Gods dwells IN SIN.

I'll say this one more time then i'll agree to disagree with you. A sinner is one who lives in and practices sin! I was that before I accepted Jesus in my life, now that i'm born agaiin I am no longer a sinner. The scripture says that the one born of God cannot continue in sin because he is born of God. meaning a born agin Christian cannot willfully sin, He has the choice to but He wont, why? because He has the seed of God (The Holy Spirit) in him. Now i sin but let me give you an example (Last night as i was praying I remembered I was in the store and I was in a rush I stormed out and out the corner of my eye, I noticed that someone needed help with their bags. I was in a rush, I didn't give it anymore thought. I remembered that and to me that was sin because I knew to do good (help them) but I didn't. So i did sin but it isn't a practice, it wasn't willful sin. I'm gonna share a scripture with you. I am righteous in Christ Jesus! and your saying your a sinner, right? I'm gonna show you that there is a difference between the righteous and the sinner and also the ungodly...Paul considered himself the "chief of sinners". Everyone except Jesus is a sinner. Being saved does not mean we won't sin it means we can be forgiven if we repent.
Correct, does not commit sin.....AND can not sin.....AND WHY, because Gods Seed remains within the man.
God can not dwell in Sin. If God is within you, preaching you have a option TO SIN, is preaching, you gave your life to God, but, but, but, you continue to control your life. No, you don't. His POWER keeps you faithful to Him.
Faithful to Him, is not continued sinning. Faithful to Him, is you can not sin. Faithful to Him, is you can never again stand against Him. That is effected BY His Power. It has already been established, men without God are WEAK, and can not KEEP from sinning. Men who have God within them, can not sin, BECAUSE His Power, is supreme, and KEEPS a man from sinning.
You may think with your carnal mind, and conclude, YOU STILL SIN.
However your carnal mind is an enmity against God.
If you are preaching from your carnal mind that, YOU STILL SIN.
I would suggest you listen to your heart, whereby Gods Spirit is teaching, YOU CAN NOT SIN.
Greater is He that is IN YOU, than he that is in the world.
Your carnal mind and the world IS NOT, what God directs you to listen to or preach on His Behalf.
God desires you to speak, teach, preach ON HIS behalf, according to HIS understanding, not the world.
If you are born of God, YOU CAN NOT SIN.
The wishy washy, you just don't practice, but you can sin, is worldly nonsense.
If you are born of God; Gods Spirit dwells IN YOU. Trust God, He does not dwell in SIN.
If you TRUST God, CLAIM that TRUST. Put away the double speak. Claim HE FREES you FROM all sin.
God Bless,

OK that does clarify things, I thought you were claiming you never sinned. You you have admitted you do but it wasn't wilfully doing so. Sure, I could get on board with that.I'll say this one more time then i'll agree to disagree with you. A sinner is one who lives in and practices sin! I was that before I accepted Jesus in my life, now that i'm born agaiin I am no longer a sinner. 2 peter 4:17,18
For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And "If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?"
did peter ever sin after he was converted? i'll show you where he didIf he is NOT the same old man, then HOW does he thereafter conversion ever sin?
God Bless,
SBC
Thanks for yours as well, SBC.
However, you did not respond to the rest of my post, and I would like to know how Galatians 2 fits with your theology. Here, we have a clear cut case of an Apostle committing the sin of hypocrisy.
((((Even Apostle Peter and Barnabas committed sin and were openly rebuked for it. It's documented in Galations 2. I doubt anybody would argue that Apostle Peter wasn't a converted man.
11 But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong. 12 When he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile believers, who were not circumcised. But afterward, when some friends of James came, Peter wouldn’t eat with the Gentiles anymore. He was afraid of criticism from these people who insisted on the necessity of circumcision. 13 As a result, other Jewish believers followed Peter’s hypocrisy, and even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy)))
