Could you offer something germane to the conversation?The enemy is beloved.
Joe
CRIB: Joe you have a lot to say, How about some direct answers?
Could you offer something germane to the conversation?
BFA and I have presented questions for you, and they really aren't from the cornfield.
The active work of the law of righteousness is necessary to die daily, continually through the law of sin that is in our flesh.
When the law of righteousness enters us, then the law of sin rises up and deceives us and slays us. The believers fall back to perdition without a clear vision of the death that is in their body.
Without a clear vision of the law of sin and death that is in their flesh, through the presence of the law of righteousness, they will begin to come under the desire to eat and drink and be happy today, for they feel death will be later at a more convenient time.
The passage you quoted above does not describe a covenant that Abraham, Isaac, nor Jacob ever knew. It also doesn't describe a covenant that has ever been passed down to us.Deut 29:12-21
12 That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day:
13 That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
14 Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;
15 But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:
16(For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;
17 And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them;
18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
19 And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
20 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
21 And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law: KJV
The stumbling of the Jews in this covenant promise has been revealed in their personal relationship to Jesus, our Lord, in the flesh, but since it is the covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob it also comes down to us.
How much sympathy do you hope to invoke by calling the members of this forum conceited drunks who have never entered into God's eternal rest and salvation? Do you have anything supporting your claim to pass judgment on Christians washed in the Blood of the Lamb?The Gentile wisdom of faith has been deceived through its conceits and it has not entered in and is in the process of drawing back unto perdition through adding drunkenness to thirst in its relationship to the members of Jesus' body.
Let us meditate upon these witnesses of the spirit of Jesus as we meditate upon the testimonies concerning the curses that are in Galatians.
Gen 3:17
17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; KJV
Job 3:1-3
1 After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
2 And Job spake, and said,
3 Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived. KJV
Jer 20:14-15
14 Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed.
15 Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad. KJV
Joe
You are correct. Joe does not seem to desire rational conversation.It's quite clear to me that Joe agenda is to confuse all threads, rather than allow coherant discussion about specific SDA doctrines. Actually, it should be clear by now that he is not rational or cooperative.
Ask him 1 simple question about anything and you'll see the maze he will take you through.
I thought BFA said horse not whale.There must needs be oil in the vessel, to endure unto the end. He that endures unto the end shall be saved.
That which is an enemy to the gospel for the sake of the Gentiles, is beloved through the election for the father's sake.
Isa 63:9-11
9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
10 But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him? KJV
