(sorry I don't know a lot about the facts of this right now but my dad just explained to me what he had seen on the news)

My dad was telling me last weekend about how in a country over in Europe, I believe, is voting or has decided that they are going to allow euthenaisa to occur to children now. How horrific is that? Not just adults anymore, but now they are taking it down to children.

Did anyone hear about this or does anyone have the scoop one this story?

I heard about this, too - I think there was a thread here on it a while back. I think it's the Netherlands or Belgium. This is just sad.

I think the most horrifying part is that the child can be legally euthanized if the doctor or parents think it is for the best. What does that mean? Little Johnny won't stop wetting the bed and it's ruining the mattress, so it's for the best if Little Johnny dies??

Until last year, the Dutch had an abortion boat that would go to countries that outlawed abortions, dock in port, pick up "passengers", go out into international waters, perform the abortions and then return.

I don't have any words for how sad this is. I guess that in just two generations, all the lessons of WW2 are lost on us. The US, unfortunately, is no better when it comes to abortion, with 1,000,000 each year. How we can allow our children to be legally murdered is beyond me, before or after they are born.

Better to be accused of being too conservative than to complacently accept the legalized murder of children. How can the people of Holland allow this to happen. It may be their legislators and the courts that are making these laws, but it is the average person who must stand up and protest against it. Why aren't they flooding the switchboards and email servers of their government with complaints?

I am afraid what the Holland government are doing is quite logical from a pro-choice standpoint.

If they are going to abort babies, why bother to defrentiate between those in and outside of teh mother's body.

and since abortion is backed by most people there, this infanticide is backed by them too
