  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I love deviantArt! I enjoy getting feedback on my photography, writing, etc. I enjoy the favorites feature as I can tab the pictures I like for later. I like seeing who likes mine for the same reason. One of the main things I dislike though is the lack of exposure. You don't find many strangers wandering through your pictures unless you post a big slew at a time.

I'm not really into it. First of all it's too "artsy" for me, second of all anybody can have an account there which, over time, lowers the quality of their services. I submit my work to places like Airliners.net where there is a very thurough screening process your pictures must go through in order to be accepted and posted.

I use it mainly for prints. I found that most people that sign up post really elementary sketches on there and the quality has gone down over the years. I despise the fact that they offer "contests" all the time, which lowers the standards for clients who might have otherwise paid for designers like me to do.
