Like I said, some people aren't getting it.
What sort of world do you live in? Do you only do something when it's guaranteed to make a substantial difference to society? Have you never signed a petition? Ranted at some moronic talking head on the TV? Voted for someone who had no chance of winning? Stopped buying factory farm eggs? We do things all the time that change nothing. But we don't do them to feel 'accomplished'. We do them for some personal, internal satisfaction. And if you know others are doing the same then there's a sense of community. You're not alone. There are others that feel the same way.I guess to some people, as long as they feel they're "flipping the bird", it makes them feel accomplished.
It costs a buck o five.Seems that you have to pay for it these days.
I'm not a progressive. The fact that you specifically picked the 3 countries that are the "target of progressive ire" would suggest otherwise.
I explained why, but you chose to ignore my explaination and the presumed to know otherwise about me. Well done."I want to specifically avoid the US, Russia, and Israel...but perhaps prioritize buying stuff that comes from Ukraine" does sound a bit like a virtue crusade...sorry.
Good for you, you are such a good guy. You are virtuous. Bravo, If I had a medal, I'd pin it on you. Clap, clap, clap...You see, I just buy from the people who I think offer a good product.
Otherwise, you get upset when people fly a pride flag?? It bothers you?For example, one of the breweries I frequent from is about as "woke" as you can get. (every version of the pride flag is hanging up in the place, and politically speaking, I have virtually nothing in common with the owner, staff, or 3/4 of the other clientele...but they make excellent beer and do a fun movie/music trivia night every week...and that's what I'm going there for...I'm not looking to make a political statement with my pub trivia night)
They can do what they want, I don't care.Put the shoe on the other foot.
If someone said, "I'm going to buy some pizza, I realize this other place is better, but nah, I'm only going to buy pizza from establishments where the owner and employees are pro concealed carry even if it tastes worse", that would sound pretty stupid right?
Oh my, don't get me started on how bad USA is at making entertainment. As far as the "US having crappy products"
When you find good alternatives for US's offerings of:
US Movies & TV entertainment
Sure, USA isn't bad at everything. I just don't want to buy any of their products right now.Medical technology innovation
Apple/Microsoft/Intel/NVIDIA/AMD
Hmmm, next time I'm thinking of booking a flight to outer space, maybe I'll consider China, Russia or India,Space technology
All you really need is a plank of wood to tighten the strings over. The actual guitar does not make any difference to the sound.Gibson/Fender/Gretch guitars
Not really, I was just highlighting the fact that I'll gladly do business with someone who has a differing political view if they make a good product that I'm looking for.Otherwise, you get upset when people fly a pride flag?? It bothers you?
...yeah, you're wrong on that one lol.All you really need is a plank of wood to tighten the strings over. The actual guitar does not make any difference to the sound.

I didn't realize that Americans didn't have freedom before.
We need to go back to the good old days, one car per household, and limit houses to 1200 sq feet and one bathroom. A waver for an additional 1/2 bath can be issued for a reasonable fee."Free trade" is so yesterday. I mean, for 70+ years, America has promoted free trade as a means for countries to progress their economies. Protectionism, socialism and communism were for for losers. Now, we have the POTUS telling Americans they don't need so much stuff....
We need to go back to the good old days, one car per household, and limit houses to 1200 sq feet and one bathroom. A waver for an additional 1/2 bath can be issued for a reasonable fee.
The scary part is that if President Trump were to suggest a policy like this, many of his supporters might find reasons to advocate for its implementation.
I'm not sure what I would do with more than that.We need to go back to the good old days, one car per household, and limit houses to 1200 sq feet and one bathroom. A waver for an additional 1/2 bath can be issued for a reasonable fee.
Man caveI'm not sure what I would do with more than that.
Well youve loaded the question there. I mean no other country offers US movies and TV. But people are increasingly tuning in to British and Korean offerings. US movie and tv products seem to be on the decline. As far as the "US having crappy products"
When you find good alternatives for US's offerings of:
US Movies & TV entertainment
That we can afford?Medical technology innovation
Mostly imported alreadyApple
Ok you got me there./Microsoft/Intel/NVIDIA/AMD
Im not currently shopping for that.Space technology
Korea and Japan have made amazing guitars for decades You might even be surprised how many Strat players prefer their cheaper Mexican made product to American.Gibson/Fender/Gretch guitars
And virtue signaling? What a nonsensical description of it. It has nothing to do with morality. It's a way of flipping the bird. It's a comment on Trump and his idiotic positions.
I don't care what political affiliation people or companies have. Not really, I was just highlighting the fact that I'll gladly do business with someone who has a differing political view if they make a good product that I'm looking for.
Sure, not sure why you are telling me this. Not every purchase or product consumption has to be an extension of one's political views.
People have every right to choose to spend their money however they see fit.Hence the reason I poked some fun at the people burning Nike's and shooting bud light in their backyard (and I guess we can add the "I hate Tesla" crowd to the mix now as well)
No, I'm absolutely right....yeah, you're wrong on that one lol.
What an odd way to live.I only do something if I believe it will have meaningful, positive results.
Then I can't help you any further.Yeah, I don't really understand this either.
No, I'm absolutely right.
The guitar body makes absolutely no difference to the sound. (if we are talking electric guitar)
The electronic components make a difference, and you should use fresh strings. But what wood is used, what brand of guitar is bought, makes absolutely no difference.
What an odd way to live.
