  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I love making and trying new desserts. So please share all of your recipes in here.

I will start with Oreo Pie..............

39 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted

1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1/3 cup sugar

2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

CRUSH 26 of the cookies; mix with butter until well blended. Press firmly onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate. Refrigerate while preparing filling.

CHOP 9 of the remaining cookies; set aside. Beat cream cheese and sugar in medium bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add chopped cookies and whipped topping; stir gently until well blended. Spoon into prepared crust.

REFRIGERATE at least 2 hours or until firm. Halve remaining 4 cookies; stand on cut edges around center of pie. Store leftover pie in refrigerator.

I make this all of the time and my family and friends just love it.

I made this at Christmas time and it went over well. I really love it, it works better with White Belgium Chocolate (bulk)

2 lbs. White Chocolate
12 Candy Canes
1/2 tsp. Pure Peppermint

Melt chocolate in either a double-boiler over low heat, or in the microwave for 2 min. of medium. Stir the chocolate occasionally. Meanwhile, place the candy canes in a plastic bag, using a rolling pin, break the pieces, about 1/4" thick. When chocolate is melted, stir in candy canes and peppermint. Pour chocolate into a waxed paper lined cookie sheet, spread even. Refrigerate until hard, about 30 min. Brake pieces and serve. Keep any bark refrigerated until served.

1 Graham pie crust...
1 pkg of any flavor jello
1 tub of cool whip

Let coolwhip thaw. Mix your jello with 1/2 cup of boiling water, stir till dissolved. Add either 1/2 cup of cold water or fruit juice of your choice. (ie. if making orange/pineapple jello, try a orange cocktail juice) Pour into pie crust and freeze. (i like to freeze, but you can put it in the fridge) remove when ready to serve. Add fruit on top if desire. Makes a light, refreshing desert without the calories. Guilt free!

My favorite is cobbler....Any type fruit will work....Right now we have fresh blackberries so I am canning them up for this winter.....Soon I'll have peaches and this fall we will have pears. You can use any fruit as long as you have some juice....

1 Stick butter ( I use real butter)
1 cup flour ( self rising)
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk

Pre heat oven to 400 degrees. Put butter in cast iron skillet. Put in oven and let butter melt. Mix flour, sugar, and milk. Blend well...When butter is melted pour batter in skillet first then the fruit....I use 1 quart of fruit and all of the juice. Bake for about 30 minutes or until brown....Serve with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream....
I also make this with Splenda and you cannot tell it is not real sugar....

God Bless
Joy
