In some other threads some have alleged certain design flaws in creation. The one I find most interesting is the claim that our curved spines are a "design flaw."
There are specific benefits to a curved design, as opposed to a straight one. The most significant one is springiness. When an accomplished engineer designs a cast wheel, he designs it with curved spokes. Why? Because straight spokes cannot absorb stress as well as curved ones.
To appreciate the advantage of a curved spine, just go outside and stand on a step above a concrete walkway. Jump off the last step and hold your hips straight and lock your knees before you hit bottom. When you have recovered your breath (it will take a while) repeat the experiment, but this time jump from the third of fourth step and land with your hips and knees slightly bent. it will not hurt a bit.
There are many small minds that imagine they could improve on the designs God used in creation. But every supposed "improvement" I have ever seen makes no more sense that the straight spine proposal.
The basic designs of a skeleton is remarkably efficient. In the first place, this is a basic design that can be modified six ways to Sunday, and still work well every time. There is little difference between the skeletons of a human arm, a dog's front leg, a horse's front leg, and a Bird's wing. All have the same basic elements, just slightly modified for specific purposes. Repeat (or delete, depending upon your starting point) a feature here or there, Twist a joint this way or that, and the same design works for them all.
Then all you have to do is wink as you listen to fools claim that the similarities in your designs prove that you didn't do it!
