The DNC and their media allies are already trying to pick off Republican frontrunners for president in 2024 even before they announce their candidacy. Their current favorite target (other than Donald Trump) is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, whose inability to recognize that the media can crush anybody they want under the weight of bad press, irritates our MSM by stubbornly refusing to change his political stance under that pressure.
The latest hit job has to do with Gov. DeSantis' attempt to get new District Maps drawn prior to the primaries for the midterm elections, since all members of the U.S. House will be up for reelection. The media coverage spins Gov. DeSantis as a politically and racially motivated Republican goon who has deliberately gerrymandered the new maps to disadvantage black voters and Democratic districts. Nowhere in any of this coverage will you find any drawing of the old map and the proposed map because to anybody viewing this dispassionately, it is evident that Gov. DeSantis is removing gerrymandering from the map, not adding it. Please view the two maps below and make up your own mind. The blue District 5 running along the far top of Florida was specifically gerrymandered by the Democrats to give the state a predominantly black district (roughly 47% black versus 36% white).
