Depression is attacking once again...

Tonite I am very down and depressed and I'm trying to find hope in God, but I still have this empty feeling inside.  I miss my ex a lot...  It seems like God is taking away everything that is important to me and it hurts worse than anything.  Life is so frustrating...sometimes I wonder why I even stay.  Please pray for me. Pray that God heals my heart and that I have the strength and patience to continue this fight.  Thanks so much!

You know what I have found to be good to read when depressed? Ecclesiastes. Believe it or not if you take the time to read it through it can bring great insight to depression. It can also bring great joy.

If you do read it, read it in one sitting.

Also here are some verses of hope, blessing and encouragement.

Why are you in despair, O my soul?

I suffer from homornal depression. It just started two years ago and took me a few months to identify it. i don t take meds for it as I know if I just wait a couple of day it will pass again. II have found staying busy helps a lot especially if I can help someone else. I know it s easy to say stop dwelling on it . Oddly for me when i read inspiring stuff i get even mor depressed. I think it s because I am focusing on myself.

Do you have any other option aside from trusting God? Where else can you go? Only he has the words of eternal life. If you were driving and the road turned to the right, your only option is to go right. Our decision making needs to be this way sometimes. "I have to trust God because I can't put my trust in anything else!"
