I've been on AD medicine for a couple of months now (only 10mg; Lexapro) and I can tell a little difference when it comes to the OCD rituals and dealing with them but it doesn't necessarily take away the rituals which my therapist told me that it wouldn't do that.
Before I started taking the medicine I was reading about side effects and one of the effects was 'a lack of motivation' and 'feeling more depressed'. What the heck? What is the point of AD medicine if it still makes you depressed and unmotivated. I've been trying to find time to work on stuff and when I find time to work on stuff I have to FIGHT to work on something.
It's really irritating that my hobbies have suffered so much because when I have free time I can't bring myself to work on it or I just don't feel like working on it.
Is that normal?
