My father's paternal family is Austro-German [both Lutheran, interestingly, with the Austrian family from Upper Austria, and the German family from Schleswig-Holstein]. It's north north to south south, so I suppose this is part of my "heritage".

I happily sit and listen to songs like Richard Cory, Patches, Darcy Farrow, Tell Laura I love Her, El Paso, The Castle Far, I Am a Rock, In My Room and He was a Most Peculiar Man.

But by and large such songs about sad deaths fall far short in being truly depressing. This is truly depressing.
